Some time after the end of the world was averted by Eorzea's greatest heroes, some much smaller actors on the star's stage found themselves receiving mysterious, unexpected letters from post moogles the world over:Champions. Heroes. Martyrs. Hearts of Steel and Gold.Your Purpose Calls. Hear it. Follow it. Search, and you shall find.M.B.Those letters were received by myriad different sorts of individuals upon the star, each and every one with a desire to leave the world better than they found it, in whatever small ways they were able. They were brought together in mystery, and in unravelling it, found an irresistible fellowship of souls with whom to do good in this world, so often beset by hardship.Ever since, the company formed by those souls has developed a reputation for helping the helpless and fighting corruption, however powerful or deeply entrenched. Stories of their deeds are whispered in the slums of Thanalan, the villages of the Black Shroud and the farms of La Noscea.

You hear about them any number of ways: The Heart of Oschon. And perhaps you, too, look for a purpose beyond your every day wants and needs. Perhaps this is the sign you were looking for to take the next step on your journey, and embrace change for the betterment of all?

Heart of Oschon is a Roleplaying Community in Final Fantasy 14, with themes around adventure, found family, and finding purpose in a world larger than any one person alone. It is a good-aligned space with wiggle room for those whose intentions, at the very least, are good.In terms of power level we face challenges appropriate for low to mid-powered characters. Think of your typical adventuring party and not the Scions and/or Warrior of Light.As well, we consider ourselves lore-compliant; That being said, we're happy to welcome creative concepts that keep strong anchors to established lore, especially in the grey areas of the FFXIV story!Heart of Oschon is a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people and POC; No amount of bigotry or minority intolerance will be accepted here IC or OOC. We have opt-in channels in our discord for discussing heavier topics such as adult content, politics, or personal vents and negativity, and we ask that they only be opted into if these topics can be engaged with in a way compatible with our Code of Conduct.For more information about our values and what we expect from our players, head over to our rules page for our social expectations!

Community Expectations

Heart of Oschon requires members to be 21+ for the sake of maturity.
Exceptions no younger than 18 will be made on a case-by-case basis.

⦁ Everyone is expected to act like adults and treat each other with respect. If someone asks for a topic to be dropped, kept out of public channels, or spoilered, please listen to and follow that request. tl;dr: Don't be a dick.We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment and abuse (sexual or otherwise) or any sort of bigotry, be it regarding race, sexuality, gender expression, nationality, or any other reason.⦁ Roleplay etiquette includes the usual litanies against God-Moding (dictating another player's actions for them), Meta-Gaming (making use of OOC information in IC situations that your character would not otherwise have), and keeping Bleed to a minimum* (IC events, emotions and stress affecting you in a significant, detrimental way OOC). Standard stuff! For those looking to apply, when prompted for the code word, please use the name of your favourite animal.As well, keep in mind that consent and communication is as important during roleplay as it is OOC; make sure you always have clear, enthusiastic consent with your scene or event partners, especially if you're dealing with heavy or potentially triggering subjects. Should someone seem less than thrilled with a situation, check in with them and see if there's anything that can be adjusted, or if they might need to step away from the scene instead.*You may notice that we have referred to Bleed here, as opposed to the typical mantra of IC =/= OOC. This is to acknowledge the fact that we, as human beings, engage with art, like writing, to be moved emotionally. Roleplay is going to make us Feel Things, and that is natural and okay! Sometimes that also means we will be negatively impacted OOC by IC events, and that is also okay. This is where communication comes in. If you find yourself legitimately distressed by a roleplay scene or event, please let someone know ASAP.
